DOC Theater Festival, Moscow, 2019

The project is the result of our work with archives on the catastrophic event of the recent past - the Kemerovo tragedy in the "Winter Cherry" shopping center.

At the beginning of the walk, participants were given flyers with a plan of GUM (main moscow shopping center), on which the locations of stops are marked, and the address of https://seeforyou.ru (temporarily inactive) with audio documentation of a catastrophic event of the recent past:
● Shopping Center: a noise file downloaded from the Internet
● Live Sound: audio from the videos of the Winter Cherry Mall
● Man with Flowers: e-reader voiced image analysis of "Putin laid flowers" on google picture
● Nobody's Fault: a fragment of Angelika Varum's popular 1990s song Winter Cherry Tree
● People's Art: songs about Winter Cherry found on the Internet
● Social Networks: an electronic reader voices texts from social networks and the press on the request of "Winter Cherry".
Participants could follow the artists or walk down the indicated route on their own. The walk was followed by a discussion of the participants’ sensory experiences.

The evidence we produced exposes the mechanism of everyday media-mediated knowledge, but not only. It shows how the entire system, from Channel One to blogs with ten subscribers, tunes in and broadcasts fear, narrows one’s consciousness to the confines of one’s body and prevents inter-human contact. And how the body can turn on its own resources and resist fear, overcome the catastrophic present.

Participants received a plan for a walk through the central Moscow department store, with numbers indicating floors and stops
