series of etchings 8 sheets
paper, etched stroke, aquatint, open etching
2014-2015

The graphics are inspired by Piranesi's sheets in which he disrupted the integrity of ancient structures, transforming them into disastrous pictures of imagined destruction. I'm follow the same technique of showing the future through the past, by putting architecture and nature in a network of relationships without man. For Piranesi, nature and architecture are opposed, but in our imagination, they are co-builders of the environment.
The technique of open etching, where acid randomly corrodes the top layer of the surface of the metal plate to create random effects, deforming the clear structure of the architecture.
